Ah ha! I wondered what power of the cosmos was pressing down on me and causing me to make that purchase! Now I know!
Umm..where do I send the bill?
With you watching..I have a lot to live up to man.
PS - I'll be deadlifting in your honor tonight.

Jimbo, add in a good doorway chest stretch (PM me if you need a picture and I'll scare one up). You could also lie supine on the foam roller with it along your spine (so your head rests on one end and your butt the other) and let your arms open up and out.
I told you that my set-up is similar, and I find that rowing and lat pulls and such I use much lower weights than I would on a cable machine at the gym. So it's something about the mechanical advantage of the pulleys or in our case, disadvantage!!
Kudos on getting back into it!
Julie

Hi Julie! Glad to hear it's not just my particular bench/pulley system!
Thanks for the suggestions you're the bomb.
Any opinion on how long to hold those doorway stretches?
Foam roller..{Jimbo looks at shuffling feet}..I haven't gotten it yet. I neeeed it. For everywhere! Hammies, quads, back..man oh man I need to run pick one up this week.

Second time I've typed all this out. GRrrrrrrrrr!
Deadlift
2x10x120
1x8x150
2x5x185
2x3x205
2x5x185
BB Flat Bench
2x5x150
1x3x155
1x2x160
1x3x155
1x5x150
As you can see I am not yet doing a specific program..just getting back into it. First deadlifts I have done in..a year? And they felt great. No low back probs today either. I kept the poundages conservative and will probably stay that way with deads.
My 13 year old trained with me so we were moving plates around a lot. But it was great fun.

Finnnnnnally worked out yesterday.
Performed squats, upright rows, chins, dips, bench
Details? Meh..I lifted hard. To failure on the bench.
My hands, feet and head are not sore today. The rest hurts.
I'll be deadlifting next session..today or tomorrow.
Hope everyone is well. I am enjoying a nice anger phase. Doing my best to not direct it toward anyone. I think I'm doing pretty good at that. Oh but the poor soul who crosses me right now. It aint pretty. Have a nice day all.
Sorry I am so disconnected in here. See ya.

Thanks Rob I'm liking the new setup. Hate the cold weather though. It's all under my carport.
Hope your training is going well too.

The deads are looking good. 205 after not lifting for a year? Pretty solid.

Hey Jimbo. I thought I was bad about not logging workouts until I went searching for your log.
How have you been?

Hey Paul. Hi everyone. Has been a lonnng time since I looked in here and saw your post. Yeah, I'm not working out regularly..but keeping my weight down hasn't been hard. Eating clean.
Probably ought to post something in off topic but I guess I just didn't feel the need to air everything.
I left my wife of 20 years on February 1st. Not planning on returning. I have been busy setting up my own seperate house. (a trailer) and getting finances/visitations with children all lined out.
It was totally my decision and my wife has been pretty unhappy about the move but there has been less stress in my children's environment since I left and certainly less stress in my life.
Anyway..that's why I am "out of pocket" these days.
So hello everyone. Hope everyone is well.
In the words of a close friend when he heard what I had done.."I guess you didn't feel there was enough tragedy in your life already?"
Took a while to explain things to him and I don't expect I'll be able to do it here. Suffice it to say that life is much better for my children and myself.
Now back to you regularly scheduled programming. Take care.

Jemmie, wow. I know you've been unhappy in your marriage so I'm glad you've made a positive decision for yourself and your children. Good luck, bro, getting set up for the next stage of your life. I hope we can meet up around summit-time!

Yes, in LR. Weekend of May 31st. Don't worry - JP just announced it a little while ago and still hasn't put up his site with registration details. He just wanted to announce the dates so people could start making travel arrangements.

Jimbo,
Just kidding. Seems like you needed a laugh.
I hope all goes well for you.

March 31st. Sweet. That works out for me.
Mahler - HA HA. Yep..I've been referring to myself as trailer trash since the move in. Might as well embrace the new title.
As mobile homes go it's actually pretty nice inside. I'm enjoying decorating it. (no wise cracks guys - NO I haven't "switched teams" or anything) But I find myself having to resist spending a lot of money on art/plants ect..dang expensive stuff.
But it is kind of nice to be able to personalize my own space. Very comfortable place.
To be honest, life is much better for me now. I am much happier. It only took me 20 years to make up my mind.
