Yupp.. Shoveling is a good cardio workout.. and if we are "lucky" the snow is wet and the snowplow just passed.. then it's also quite a weights workout .. (at least for me )

Wow...I got two work outs in so far this week.
I've missed the last two TKD sessions because of car problems, so I was feeling really down on myself.
I cleaned out the laundry room to make room for mee and my stuff. It has worked out fine so far as it forces me to do the laundry if I want floor space.
I am not really following a set program. Just doing two lower body and two upper body then core.
I am loving my "new" chin bar, and incorrporate it in every work out. I had no shouder porblems when I did chins in my regular routines...and they are feeling really good no popping or soreness.
My arms are liking the chins too.

I got back to TKD last night whew I missed those workouts...did a lot of balance work holding kicks at full extention and four directions - where we have to kick to each wall without returning to stance so basically you rotate on the planted foot...oh and knuckle pushups if you lose your balance until the last person drops.
Then I had to do grocery shopping...did some HIIT in the frozen food isle.

I don't remember if you've talked about it.. Is it something you bought or made?

Man, it sounds like you're really liking the TKD. That's great bro! You know, I've found that TKD has really helped with my shoulder soreness. I suppose keeping it moving assists with keeping the pain at bay.
I shudder to think of snow, though. I'm glad I'm in the SOUTH!!!

Mary,...I made it from a chrome bar my Dad had in his shop...some old scuttled store fixture and 2x4's drilled out for the bar to slide in and screwed it to the floor joist in my laundry room...I need to pin it cuz it still spins in place.
Jamie...TKD was the best rehab for my "tweaked quad" a nagging baseball injury that I had for about two months.

Oh man what a way to start the day...I had to do some Bus-rider HIIT...abot 60 yard through a snowy ditch, over the rail tracks, hurdle a snow pile and sprint across the gas station lot all to cut the coner and meet the bus at my stop...and my man bag was intact.
I can see the bus on the main road through my back yard, as I have to go down the alley to get to my stop.
Damn it was fun in twisted way.

your Bus HIIT.. isn't it great to be able to do crazy things like that and not die from a heart attack? LOL to me.. that's a large part of what fitness is about

I got back to TKD on tuesday...good workout...did some isometric holds for ab work...ouch...I found myself looking at the clock near the end..I haven't been able to get to the iron yet this week too much to do with the kids and now my wife is sick (flu) so I need to do some extra around the house. I guess I can do some chins between laundry loads...
Looks like my Bro in-law is moving in with his GF. but still has his stuff in my basement...but at least I have more room to work out.

I got to the iron last night.
RDL - 4 x10 @ 150 (its all the weight I have)
swiss ball push-up & jack knife 4x12 (for speed)
4x4 wide grip chins (palms out)
4x4 close grip chins (palms in)
I lost some grip strenght this fall by being inconsistent with the workout...that should come back quick.
The other good news is I've lost about 8lbs in the last month.
We finally bought a digital cam now I can post some pics...if my photographer would hold the camera still insead of laughing...sheesh it must be love.

Got out to TKD last night...got the good sweat going. lots of lunges in warm up had my quads shaking when I was holding my stance. Other than that it was all punching and blocks which was good cuz my legs were cooked.
