Thanks for dropping by Marykaa.
TKD was good last night, I am not as spent today as last class. I was so hungry after class but I kept it in check with some almonds and lots of water and a cup of tea.
Learned to do rising kick and snap kick...working on my round-house, Ive got the forward rotation down but then I can bring it back in without throwing myself way of balance. (time to watch some Jean Claude movies)oh I need to keep working on myu flexibility, which is better than most guys my age.

No I haven't looked around for any...I suspect Chris Corriea would know...I'll have to touch base with him.
Last night's class had a killer interval warm up that had me sweating puddles. It was good though to have to concentrate on technique with the muscle fatigue. Wnet through our basic kicks again...our Do-yang master liked my progress
Not as hungry this time but I can feel a little more sore...in a good way

I often wonder about warm-ups.. at the group fitness class (Super Workout II) the trainer is always telling me to slow down the first few minutes.. seems I start too hard.. but I ofthen wonder how much time we are supposed to take to warm up.

Good Class Tuesday...kicks punches blocks and my favorite knuckle push-ups...my quads were on fire from holding the stance all night. I am starting to see more definition in my quads.

I know very well what you're talking about!! the classical fencing position that was still very strong when I fenced did the same to me..

Whew I finally got back to the iron last night...
3x10 RDLs, BB bent rows
2x20 lunges
3x10 bb standing shoulder press
3x10 bb curls
3x10 knukle push ups
30 crunches & leg lifts
topped it off with whey shake and 1/4 cup almonds
I need to be more consistent with the iron the combination of TKD and lifting should BBQ the belly.

These payments are killing me...this free stuff really makes me dedicated...kind of wierd but I feel if the instructor is willing to put in his time I have to meet his expectations.
Its a stronger motivation for me than $$$$$

TKD last night...
good class - got my sweat on...my girl keeps reminding me I am sweating.
Got to do live blocks and some kicks...big difference doing with a body in front of you. My right groin is a little sore again...but the pain kicking with my left leg was not as sharp.

It takes a while for your groin to get stretched out for all those kicks. When I started Karate, I had the same problem for a while. It will come. Sounds like a good time

Yup, I'll have to do more Rufus Complexes...It sure helps me sleep good at night. Now if I can get some iron sessions scheduled in on off days I will be the "machine"

Bank appt. went overtime so I missed my TKD. So I took the dog for a good walk and did some iron.
I wanted a quick work out so I tried BB thrusters... form wasn't bad....sucks the energy down fast.
warm up 2x (no rest between exercises)
20 jumping jacks
10 bw squats
10 pushups
10 lunges
2 of 10x50lbs BB thrusters
2 of 3x100lbs BB thrusters
2 of 3x85lbs BB thrusters
had to really gut out the last reps of the 100lbs the 85 the last rep was wwwaaayyy slow.
I'll be adding these to routine for sure.

Made TKD last night and I got to stay in with the big kids and practice the one step sparing and self-defense. My groin seems to be recovered I did some extra warm up for it and didn't force the splits as far.
Realy need to work on my foot work more...my stance ends up too wide. I feel I am getting closer to that natrural flow where your body just know what to do. If I've learned nothing else I know this getting older dog can learn new tricks.
I topped off my day with grocery shopping HIIT
and $260 lighter so I guess it worked

TKD last night...
really good workout...I keep having flashbacks to HS football conditioning camps.
Our Instructor is liking my progress...I should get my first belt after Christmas. I am loving it. So is my oldest girl she is so pumped after class she can't stop eating or settle down to sleep.
