Sounds like you guys have a pretty good team. I have been lucky and get out running just before it rains in the am. How are the workout going? Losing any inches?

yes and no...its a rec league just for fun...if we played our top five guys and girls we would stomp...but with 10 guys and 9 girls on the roster, we play only half games for the most part so we try to balance our line up. That HR by the Missus was amazing - she even got the only highlight on the Beer garden announcements...it was cute to see her blush.
the Work out is going ok...just need to be more consistent.
This week end is measurement time...hmmm think I could cut in four days?

Fricken cold....It started Friday with a little sore throat and now my head is swimming...I dispise head colds...throws my balance off and I can't do anything without my head feeling like it will explode....the only upside is I am pumed on psuedo-ephedrine...yahoo.

Softball in the rain probably helped it along. Get better soon.

Looks like you will have a nice weekend for baseball. Suppose to have touch football on Sat, they may change fields cause of the condition.

Tuesday,
I am over the cold, haven't hit the iron since last week or so. Had a busy weekend, kid's had their soccer jamboree on Saturday and the weather held I even got a farmers tan going.
Sunday I played a half a game of ball. Don't know if it is the composite bats or what but I was hitting the ball a ton...the weather held until the second inning then the off and on light rain came again.
Got another tourney this weekend...hope the weather holds....back to the iron tonight...since it's raining again....wtf

Lovely June so far. Got to play football on Sat and the rain held off. Would be nice to get a couple weeks of sun. Would love to get outside for HIIT and cardio. Sounds like the weights are helping the hitting. The abs probably have a lot to do with it..

Didn't get to the iron last night...my little girl just couldn't fall asleep...I did get to walk in the rain with them...it has been a while since I did that...gotta do that more often.
Been out at some "learning" events with work...heard a great speaker the last two days David Irvine...very insparational...he is a leadership speaker/coach...check him out at www.davidirvine.com
He put some perspective and focus for some things that are lacking in my life...now its time to get at it.

Lead those muscles to growth, and get outside while the sun is shining.

Monday,
Whew I survived baseball in the heat this weekend. Played three games saturday in +30c with wind gusting to 50k. I don't feel sore today a little warn out but the body feels good.. The sunday afternoon swim in my parents pool helped with the sunburn and heat exhaustion.
Made sure I drank lots of water and I layed off the beer saturday night...just poweraide and water.
Backto the iron tonight and I'm going to get a quick run in the mornings as the heat wave is going to last for the week.

Great work out last night, My legs felt shakey after the split squats. I'm staying away from the military press for a few weeks and swicthed to an upright row. I've been having a dull pain in my shoulder when I throw. I'll add some rear deltoid work.
With all the baseball and heat the cardio work outs are far and few.
Droped my coffee intake to less than a cup a day.
The arms and shoulders are lookin good, and the legs...now I just need to work to the middle.

Good work out last night...got up at 6am and went for a short run...shesh i need to do more of this. I am upping my cardio/HIIT...looks like I am losing my gym for the summer as the Brother in law is coming to stay for a while.
Looks like it is going to be an outdoor death by body weight summer!

Thanks Mike...
I haven,t played since last week...went up to Matlock to stay with friends at their cottage. Had a good time we were three families...so 6 adults and 8 kids
Did some fishing off the break water behind their place and my girls each caught a couple 6" perch and a silver bass I lost a big catfish. Played on the beach collected rocks and shells. oh and my friend friend the butcher made sure the diet was heavy on red meat
The weather looks really good. I play tonight and on sunday. I may forgo the workouts until monday and just go swimming at my parents pool all weekend.
