I got 250lbs twice on an ass to the floor oly squat two days ago, I can barely walk today, what a bitch. Anyways this is my best ass to the grass squat to date. I'll keep plugging away to my goal of 315, six plates wide baby. I'm not really on a strength routine...I'm using ripped rugged and dense still cutting body fat, almost done with the phase, 4 weeks left I should be around 10%. I rotate deadlifts with good mornings and full squats with lunges every other time as of now.

I got my ass kicked by 375 on Tuesday. It came part-way up before I had to bail out on it. Left some pretty cool bite marks down my back. It was close though. I can only blame myself and my lack of heavy quad work in the last couple weeks for the failure. Oh well, I felt pretty strong so I think I will bury it in two weeks.

F'ing pumped this AM.
Work from last night...
Smolov Program
135x5
215x3
255x3
290x3
345x3
345x3
375x1* (personal best)
385x1* (personal best)
400xFail. Came up 1 inch, but was a nice controlled lower. Balance was great, legs feel good, and no neck problems. I also adjusted my grip inward about 1 inch for more bar support.
I can smell 400...

Damn, NL! You're right up on it! Careful not to hurt yourself by hurrying it (as I've done a few times!)

Thanks RH. I hear you on the "be patient". I think I will give these a 4-5 day rest and attempt a max for 400 with no work sets in front of it.

Newlife you are an animal. Needless to say your CNS is working very efficiently, jesus h. christ.
Side note, I know this isn't a deadlift forum but I'm pushing those too. I'm trying to get my deads to 400, oly squat to 315. Total body weight currently 165lbs and decreasing (fat lbs), 5'10".
Since I start glute and ham work a month ago I have put 20lbs on my squat and 15lbs on my deadlift.

This program is sick. Very intense, but my numbers exploded while doing it. I have 2 days left before I complete week 4 and my squat went from 330 to 385. I assume I will do 400lbs before I am done. So, 70lbs increase in 1 month! Not a program for everyone as it is very squat specific, but if increasing your squat is your goal, by all means use this program.

whoa...that's cool! Are able to have enough room for your other lifts or are you exclusively concentrating on improving the squat with that program?

For the past month, I have focused on Bench, Squat, and Deadlift while doing assistance work along with the 3 major lifts.
So, If I bench, I also do rows afterwards and maybe weighted Dips...and so on.
