hey cool! Glad you could get in a long bike ride. Bet it was nice!

Will be watching your log with baited breath anticipating the major changes. Hope it's TT related.

75 miles = long ride. 25 miles = almost around the block. But thank you - it was indeed nice being out with nice weather. I rode to the lake, which was a beautiful turquoise color today, and to my alma mater and stopped to see a little bit of a UConn-NU women's lacrosse game that was going on outside on the lakefront. Saw 2 goals. Cool.

(connect the dots trivia: did you guys know that our forum's own Becka played one year for UConn lacrosse? )

Monday, April 4th

What started out as a day with good intentions ended up as a cheat cheat lazy day. Wanted to take a 33 mile recovery ride, and was ready to go to change when I saw my family and said, 'Hey, I haven't spent time with them in almost a week. We should go for a walk.' My wife agreed and said we should go out to eat. We did, and that meant eating too much (for the record, I was on par through that time). I did have the horseradish encrusted salmon, but I think the spinach and mushroom side was cooked in butter. Oh yeah, I insisted on ordering the spicy spinach queso dips with chips as an appetizer. Guess who ate most of it.

So I did walk 2 miles, at a slow pace. But I ate a lot. At the restaurant, we ran into my old friend and bootcamp instructor Suzy, who I've mentioned before here who I haven't seen in close to 2 years. She looked younger than before (damn her). She's 41 or 42 and looks in her 20s. Why can't I get younger and better looking? She was applying to teach a spin class at our local park district center, and it's ironic that she is the one who encouraged me, years ago, to get certified in Spin and teach and I did finally but have yet to do anything with it.

I talked with Capps favorite guy up in Canada today (hmm, hold on. Let me clarify: that would be Craig I'm talking about here. ) and he has a Canadian accent. Seemed cool - he listened to my crap, anyway. Now you can probably guess the big change, but typically Kaiser, it'll be done 'my way'.

Finally, GO FIGHTING ILLINI!!!!!!!!!!!

Why so many emoticons. You forgot

Bad, bad Kaiser. Don't feel too too bad, I just had four chocolate chip cookies.

I'm assuming a little TT for fat loss with a dab of TT for Mass after the cutting and unwanted pounds are off. Am I correct in my assumptions?

You can only put in a miximum of 8 in one post. It wouldn't let me do all of them.

Assumptions? WRONG. Wrong. wrong

Kaiser is not your average guy - Kaiser never does anything normally. Kaiser doesn't know why he is referring to himself in the third person. Who is Keyser [Soze]?

PS: Hey, you roomin' with me at the retreat, big boy?
PPS: No, I don't want a roommate. I say we crash at Cappy's place though.

Wha.....???? Then I read the PPS. I have no clue who the hell I'm rooming with, but I figure since I "know" everyone at the retreat it will be ok.

We should crash her place, either Friday night or Saturday. I'm sure she'll love our company.

Off to watch the big game. I'm rooting for the Illini because Roy has broken my heart too many times to count and I picked Illinois in the first place.

We could throw on our PJs, rent a movie (say "Steel Magnolias'?), she could make her molten chocolate cake, and we could braid each others hair and do a makeup party.

hey hey there big boys! You wouldn't want to crash at my place...I'd put you to work in the yard and fixing a leaking roof and any other projects I could think of.

I'm still waiting to hear about your new plan. I bet it will be exciting! You'll be buff by the retreat for sure.

Cool! So much canadian confusion You mean it's that obvious he's a favorite?

Did you talk his ear off? I didn't notice his accent so much, but he definately has outdoorsy canadian good looks about him and is very personable.

Details Kaiser, details! Are you starting a new log???

Rebuffed Nick! Ohh... the pain.

I wouldn't lay money on me being buff by then. It's 50/50 right now on whether the injury will keep me from going anywhere. I've gained a little fat. I hope Craig has something major up his sleeve (actually, I know some of what he will be prescribing and it looks INTERESTING).

I don't think I talked his ear off, but then I am talkative and he is... umm, has more word economy. I guess I left quite an impression on Ms. Capp.

Details? Capp, I do allow myself to have some private moments...just won't write about it all here.

Crush? Moi, nah, just appreciative. Kaiser will have a crush on him when he's done with his program too. Poor Nick will be sooo lonely.

Oh you noticed I noticed you were chatty?

Isn't it fun though to get a plan?

Ouch - we're trading some barbs now. I know I started it, but truce?

Honestly, I've always followed some excellent pre-packaged plans, especially a bunch from Ian King. The issue is that if I continue with TBOM, it has heavy lifting with big rest periods the next 8 weeks...not exactly optimal for fat loss. I need to superset and I need to have someone work around me knee. Plus it would be nice to get what Craig is proposing for me intstead of intervals (you'll have to wait on what those are!). I am pretty excited about that. Otherwise, its just my impatience to get this fat off.

oops, sorry, didn't mean to elicit an 'ouch' response. Just teasing you. Guess I'm a little extra wired from my late evening workout.

I always thought a new program was fun, and even more so when you get to work on items specific to you and your goals.

I was just thinking today that I wish I knew there were pre-packaged plans both before I started using weights. And even once I started I still felt like a dork when I tried something new or was working out by myself. Now I could care less and say 'hey, look at me, I'm doing a chin-up.'

I'm feeling for the Illini, K. What a game. They fought back, but they never could get that lead in the second half.

I wore the aqua blue nike shirt and the Kansas shorts in an attempt to jinx Roy, but alas, he gets his first title, and I'm actually happy for him
