Maybe bolding will help too. Kaiser Where are you? Did you fall asleep reading your certification book?

Jeez, who let all the riff raff in?
Yes C... I was asleep at that time - you weren't the only one who was looking for me though. Sorry I haven't been playing here - been otherwise disposed in the evenings.
Sit back and watch the master, ninja - only by quiet observation and contemplation will you learn the secrets of this board.
Yesterday was a great day. I'll post soon. Let me finish eating my dinner though.

[in a very calming voice] What did I just say grasshopper?
But, as you can see, you have learned your lesson well and can now do what you could not before.
PS: I would hope he doesn't. We used to be buds on BII. Now I can barely stand his witty sarcasm.

"Cardio"
2 sessions of spin while getting my instructor course done today. All in all, 9 hours of talking about and doing spin. Very cool - it just flew by. Maybe I should think about a change of career to fitness......
When we had to work on properly sizing the bike, I got hooked up with a real cutie who sorta reminded my of Evangeline Lilly. To say she was fit was an understatement. Ouch.
At the beginning of the classroom time, in our class of 22, the instructor asked for a volunteer to come up front so she could show how to size for the bike. No one volunteered - I would've thought in a roomful of potential rah-rah spin teachers, everyone would've been jumping up to do it. I quickly raised my hand and became the classrroom Vanna White.

I think I can do the teaching thing. Seems not that hard. I've been rehearsing in my mind for years now.

Intervals
Spin class. Was wearing my new HR monitor, so I got a lot of info about it. During Stomps at the end, I came close to my max by the last 3 (a Stomp is high cranked up tension so that you almost can't turn the pedals. stand and crank as hard as you can for 15 secs, rest for 15 secs. we did 14 last night. Kinda like Tabata.... makes you feel pretty light headed at the end). My HR hit 195. A few years back I had measured my max to be 204, and I am older now, so I think this was pretty close within a few beats of my true max.
My average HR for the hour and five mins was 163, which means I was flirting or into anaerobic range a large part of class.
My kcal expenditure from the watch was 997. This is almost 200 kcal above what ftiday estimates, hence my question to the experts here. I'll use the fitday one for now, although I may end up averaging between the two.
I refitted myself to my spin bike based on what I had learned in class, and also did the same for my new friend, the cute, superfit girl with the high cadence. Actually, finally introduced myself to a couple of people in class who I've been talking with on and off for the last 3 or 4 weeks. Kaiser - inherently social.....
Diet
RMR 1480
Exercise 823
Diet 1712
Deficit 591
27%P/34%C/39%F of which a whopping 10% was saturated (I only had 1150 kcals in me at 11Pm so I ate 2 doughnuts we somehow had in the house, along with a glass of full fat milk - don't know why we have that in the house either since we only drink skim). Well, at least I got my deficit, if not cleanly.
I start the next phase of TBOM this week... should be interesting.

1150 kcals? If I can pull that off, I will be skinny in no time.

Ah, so you found yourself a new toy Aren't they fun?
Glad you had fun in your spin instructor class. When do you certify and start teaching? Or was it a social ploy to start up conversation with Lost co-star look alikes??
