Hi, im new to this forum..I'm 16 years old, I am 6 foot and i weigh around 165. I have been taking weight training in hs and have developed a liking for it. I concentrate on the bench press (2-3 times a week) My max is 215 right now, I've been increasing about 15 pounds a month but not ive hit a wall. I tried to shock my muscles with two set of 20 reps at 70 percent till total utter failure but still nothing..any help guys or brian??

Okay - I'm fairly new to weight training too...but I read something somewhere about doing negatives. I just started this today myself to see if it helps me increase my max bench. From what I read, doing negatives - heavy weights - with a spotter of course - would increase your max bench before you can say squat.

Hopefully one of these trainers/professionals will chime in on the subject soon...
