JP,

I haven't spoken with you for a while and I have a question regarding my training.

Over the past year I've made some pretty solid gains in terms of strength and I'm finding more and more that less frequent training yields bigger strength/size increases.

Still, I've hit yet another plateau. I'm wondering what your opinion is on the "best" way to train for ectomorphs? I'm the poster child for this body type (constantly fidgeting, raging metabolism, skinny wrists/ankles) and I'm becoming frustrated at my inability to pack on mass. I was talking with Mike Mejia on the MH board and he said that he and John Berardi were collaborating on a book written specifically for the ectomorph looking to gain weight. Do you have any input on training by body type? I was looking at Bryan Haycock's Hypertrophy-Specific Training because it's getting great reviews. All I know is that the 4-5 day/week Arnold splits aren't going to get me any further.

Thanks.

Phoomer, how old are you now? Based on your age when we first communicated on MH I am guessing around 18? Maybe you are just being too impatient. I was in my mid 20's before I had that "solid" look. One day my body just up and filled out. Now I am trying like hell to look more "ecto-like" so I can improve my trail riding (hills are a bitch at 200+ pounds... be careful what you wish for).
