Good Morning, Guys,
My best wishes for a safe and joyful Independence Day for my friends here in these United States and a belated, but equally important greetings for my Canadian brothers on their national holiday.
I finished Chad Waterbury’s Anti-Bodybuilding Hypertrophy on Friday. The final week was delayed due to my vacation the prior week. I expected some problems but was able to finish with the program with no setbacks, topping it off with 5 sets of 10 dead lifts at 230 pounds. Not a lot of weight for some of you guys, but following the program it was 70% of my 1RM and I felt that I could easily have cranked out more on each set. If you are looking for something different, Chad’s workouts are a real change of pace and get good results.
Since I am “on the road again” and presently in Cleveland for a big family gathering, I prepared a few quotes appropriate to the day, in advance. So, again with my best wishes for a great day and a great week, here is what some of our founding fathers and their successors had to say about liberty and freedom.

Those who expect to reap the blessing of freedom must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.
Thomas Paine 1837—1809
If a nation expects to be both ignorant and free, it expects what never was and never will be.
President Thomas Jefferson 1743—1826
It is harder to preserve than to obtain liberty.
Vice President John C. Calhoun 1782—1850
They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
Benjamin Franklin 1706—1790
Liberty, when it begins to take root, is a plant of rapid growth.
President George Washington 1732—1799
There are more instances of the abridgement of the freedom of the people by the gradual and silent encroachment of those in power, than by violent and sudden usurpation.
President James Madison 1751—1836
When the government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.
President Thomas Jefferson 1743—1826
In the truest sense freedom cannot be bestowed, it must be achieved.
President Franklin Delano Roosevelt
1882—1945
Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.
President John F. Kennedy 1917—1963

Enjoy the day and have a great week.

How about early greetings for your Belgian brothers on our national holiday? Which is the 21st (I think, could be the 11th )
John, thank you for yet another profound MMMM. Have a great Independence Day.

I think those 3 quotes are even more relevant today than they were 200 years ago.

Thanks John. As usual, thought-provoking. I had the same thoughts as canuckguy as I read them. We must be ever mindful. Have a safe and happy 4th.
