I've been consistent with diet and workouts for two months now after being inconsistent for about two years. I am doing TAP diet and a boot camp style workout featuring lots of pushups, squats, mountain climbers, you get the picture. I have lost 28 lbs. That's the good news and I am happy about it. The bad news is that I was interviewed on a local news broadcast and I look like a groundhog! I am not despairing. I am using it to motivate me to continue. If I continue, I can at least look like a skinnier groundhog. Right now, I look like I'm about ready to start hibernation! If I remember, a similar experience inspired CouldItBe, so maybe I can use him for my inspiration.

Trust me on this: TV makes everyone look bad, except the tiny percentage of humans who are genetically gifted with features that look good on the screen.

On my recent vacation, I watched a lot of TV news, since I had no Internet access.

And one thing that just amazed me is how surgically altered the newscasters are. I don't mean the big ones on the networks; I'm talking mostly about the women who read the news during the day. Every single one of 'em looks nipped and tucked, not to mention implanted.

That's all aside from the fake hair, fake teeth, fake nails, and profoundly emaciated bodies.

TV is not real life. Don't let it bother you.

Well, I shave my head (long story but my wife likes it that way) and there is no getting away from the fact that I let myself get way fat. But I do agree that the female announcers look like altered kind of Barbie clones. The guy who interviewed me was blade thin as well.

My ex-gf was interviewed on the news once and I hardly recognized her! very bizarre.

You've gotta have a huge head and tiny body to look normal - as Lou can attest to all these Hollywood types have huge melons (did that sound bad?)

Greg, at least you should feel good that you could probably overhead pressthat newscaster guy if you had wanted to.
