Anyway - Rachel Cosgrove is on the DVD doing chins (she EASILY does them - don't know how many she could do at her max).
I would bet that Rachel could get 8-10 pretty strict pull-ups.

8-10 is impressive! That's better than most guys in my gym (yeah it IS Santa Monica so...)

I'm gonna try a max set next time. Haven't done so since working on kips. On the other hand I know Annie and the other Xfit girls still kick my ass.

Dos, thanks for sharing your opinion on Crossfit.

Do you ever have your athletes use similar high rep "minimalist" conditioning programs?

Oh yeah, I love some of that stuff and the kids 'enjoy' it as well!

hmm, glad I didn't attend school in Santa Clarita then.

But nevermind Xfit, who do you pick in the upcoming (Jan.) Couture vs. Lidell III?

The Natural is and will always be my hero so I'm figuring it to look more like the first fight. BTW, Rich Franklin is fast becoming my other hero.

Being of the 'ages' that we are at, how can you not cheer for Randy?

My 6 year-old daughter can do L-pullups, and I am not kidding. She also did 10 regular pullups at gymnastics, although I didn't see them and don't know about her ROM. I think I have a little budding CrossFitter in my house!!

Speak for yourself Kaiser

Rich Franklin's path is an interesting one- never a star wrestler but started out sparring in his garage. Roots.

I'm a fan of both Randy & Chuck but I think Chuck's game has developed to where Randy will have a hard time imposing his game.

btw, Chuck's trainer John Hackleman can be seen in some of those Crossfit videos.

The Natural just seems like so much more of a 'class act' than The Iceman. Just IMO as a casual fan.

I had thought about entering an amateur comp just for fun but subsequent knee injuries just don't allow me to do any serious grappling training now Hopefully in the future.

Annie gets my vote!

Probably gonna try L-pullups today. Having done no legs rope climb last week I can honestly say I don't think at this point I could even do a single L-climb ascent with good form.

so hot...

Anyone here watch pride? I find their current 'stable' of fighters to be a little better. Fedor is an absolute animal.

OH YEAAAAAAAH!!! Definitely HOT!

I've been working on my-pullups (actually neutral grip) but getting my legs out straight is a problem. Would adding like 5 lbs help to strengthen the right muscles?

I've been in Phoenix since Wednesday and I've been BAAAAADDDDDDD! I feel pretty crappy now... to much "conference behavior!" There's one tree that I walk by a lot and I always knock out a short set of pullups - must look pretty odd to passersby on the street! - as my nod to working out... but it ain't cutting it!

Religiously!

Sherdog.com forum has some highlight videos of Fedor, or check out this google video search for Fedor highlights

Was wondering where you are Brad. Hey, at least you getting some pullups in. Doesn't your hotel have a gym?
