I'm sooo excited about this I had to branch out from my training log!
I've been working on chins for the last several weeks in my TT program. First eccentrics only and then chins. I THOUGHT I did them last week, until I realized that I wasn't using full ROM.
Today, with both feet on the floor, my arms reached up really really high to reach the bar...I pulled myself ALL THE WAY UP and even hung there for a couple of secs I was sooo happy!
Next week--2???

Congrats.
I remember when I did 5 unassisted, it felt awesome.
Now I just need to start adding weight.

Sweet action, once you get the first one down the rest will fall easily.

I think I witnessed this monumental event. I walked into the gym yesterday and saw Capp hanging from the chin-bar/power-rack.
I now realize the expression of joy on her face was due to her accomplishment....not my arrival.... much to my dismay..........

Thanks guys! I'm still excited and can't wait to pass by that chin bar and try it again! And maybe I WILL strap the 45lb weights on me one day
Youngonce....you weren't there for the ONE...so the expression of joy on my face was definately from your arrival..and a little carry over giddyness

Congrats. You'll find it easy to tack on more and more.

Chicks doing chinups . . . cool!
Congrats! Onward to two, three, five . . .
Just a note: I found that I made better progress in all my chinups by mixing up the grip type: some underhand, some overhand, some neutral grip, even mixed grip (one over, one under).

I witnessed this event and I must say I felt a surge of pride, not unlike a proud poppa would feel watching his kid scoring the winning goal in a game. Good going, Cappy! Keep it up!
Side note, between her sets I came over and attempted a one-arm chin-up. I didn't complete it, but I got a little over half way, which is the furthest I have ever gone.

Cappy,
My admiration for you grows. Congrats on the accomplishment. Unfortunately, now JP has no excuse to be around to give you an assist. LOL

Thanks, Mahler.
Still have to get the other 14 up in 3 sets, so I'm sure there will be a weee bit of room for assists...at least over the next try or two. LOL
