If any of you have done WWs, how far do you go? Space constraints mean I can only go about 5 feet either way, and I don't know if this is too short of a distance for effectiveness.

from t-nation...

"To perform the Waterbury Walk, deadlift a loaded barbell off the floor (about 65% of your raw 1RM load), take a couple of steps forward and set it down on a box or power rack supports. Release muscular tension, re-lift the load, take two steps backward, stop, reset your stance, and lower to the ground. That's one rep. Ouch."

I do them with my lower-body workouts, but two steps with a friggin' heavy barbell in front of me is a lot shorter than two regular steps. So I didn't know how far CW prescribes walking, in actual feet-and-inches distance.

KM... I wouldn't worry about the actual distance too much... As long as they're two normal steps (well, two normal steps for someone carrying a heavy friggin' barbell!)

I can't believe that guy named an exercise after himself. That is like giving yourself a nickname. Guys have been walking with weight in the deadlift position for years.
