I feel that my swing freedom is limited by poor flexiblity throughout my entire body. Any particular stretches that are good for increasing golf swing mobility?

There are many depending on your needs. It's very difficult to recommend anything specific without an assessment, but the most common limitations are in the hips, spine, and shoulders.

Those are definitely the areas that are limiting for me. Does basic static stretching of the muscle groups provide much benefit?

The golf swing is dynamic and therefore requires active flexibility training. Loaded static stretches can help but there is also a velocity and strength specific component that must be addressed. We're actually doing test video this weekend for a video that I'm working on that specifically addresses this component.

Have you had any athletes that have lost mobility due to an increase in uppper body muscle mass?

Is upper body hypertrophy something to avoid, or can in be negated to a degree with proper stretching?

Let me know when you get that video done, it's something that I'm interested in.
