So I'm in a bulking phase right now, working through the book of muscle, and I'm digging it quite a bit (although I'm getting a little tired of supersets; can't wait for the next phase when I'll reduce the # of exercises and increase the weight!). However, my ultimate goal is to be in all-around good shape; I don't want to just look good but get winded going up a few flights of stairs... and a shorter-term goal I have is to be in my best shape ever (which I'm actually pretty close to now, but I still need to go further) for being a counselor this summer at my church's youth summer camp in colorado.
Sooooooo, I think part of attaining my goal is consistent cardio training. HOWEVER, I don't want it to interfere with my current bulking phase (the whole "extended cardio burns up muscle" argument...) And I'm not that interested in fat loss at this point in time (that'll change come february or march).
Long story short (too late!) my main question is, how should I (or even, should I, period) incorporate cardio into my workout (BoM beginner), while I'm trying to bulk, and should I do steady state, HIIT, long sessions, short sessions... Remember, my main goal right now is cardiac health and endurance, not fat loss.
Thanks for any advice!
