Alright man!!! Jeez! I'll ask. just leave me alone, I'll do it. Just this once!! You owe me big time!! I mean Cheesecake Factory big time!
It's taking me everything I have to ask this...for "my buddy." Everywhere I look, magazines, tv, and even in the gym, the guys that are in really good shape are . . . well, hairless. I mean, men naturally have hairy chests, or at least "my buddy" does. It makes perfect sense that if you are in good enough shape, you don't want hair covering up what you work day and night for. So how the heck do these people do it? Shamed to say, a couple of times "my buddy" has tried the waxing. Not only did that hurt like a mother & have him crying like a little girl, but it left "him" with a breakout. So "he" tried shaving. Painless quick and simple. However, that too left "him" with a breakout. Normally there is no breakout, but since the hair removal, "my buddy" gets a zit attack. So how the heck is it done? If some one is compationate enough to answer, I would greatly appreciate it, I mean "my buddy," who, is, of course real, and, hairy, would greatly appreciate it. Really.

I have a friend that's used Nair For Men. Try that maybe? Test it first though...don't rub it all over and then come screaming back to me that you broke out all over from it...lol.

My wife uses some product that looks like a razor with no blades when she shaves her legs. It is to prevent razor bumps and burns. I've seen the commercial on TV for it but I can't recall what it is called. You might keep a look out for it.

I'm pretty sure that even that uses something akin to Nair as a "shave" gel, which actually removes the hair. But, what the hell do I know.
I just do laser hair removal. It's permanent and relatively painless. Which reminds me, I need to call and make my next appointment.....

Yes it is. The stuff defNOIZE is talking about is a Nair product too...called Nair Smoothing Effects Bladeless Shaving Kit. Haven't used it personally so not sure how it works.

the thing about Nair for men that scared me is that the hair that didn't come all the way off, it looked like I had held a match to it. It was all singed. Kind of scared me :/

Shaving for me. Using the electric first, then shaving cream and a razor in the shower. I do get some burn sometimes though.
*edit* 'course, I hate body hair. I shave my head and arms, shorten the stuff on my legs but leave just a little.

Get some clippers and just use the shortest guard.
I used to do the razor thing, but my gf says it's too scratchy when it starts to grow in and I was too lazy to do it everyday.

Depending on how hairy you are and how coarse your hair is, you might find that the hairless look is just not for you. I used to do it to compete but it broke me out no matter how I did it and I tried everything. If you've got coarse curly hair then it's gonna get ingrown no matter how you do it. I just buzz it down short these days with the shortest guard on my clippers. I buzz my head without the guard.

It all depends on your area and what the market will bear. The prices are typically broken by area, like chest, abs, back, arms, thigh, calf, etc. They don't charge based on how hairy or not you are. Just shop around. Sometimes you can find deals from people who are just starting into the business and are willing to severely undercut their competition. If I remember correctly around here my back cost me around $450, while chest would have been closer to $350. That price included 5 sessions each about 6-8 weeks apart.

Has it really been permanent? I always wondered what the deal was with that process. Man I hate hair but I seem to be gifted with it. 5 sessions 6-8 weeks apart got rid of it all for you?

Laser hair removel is usually charged by minutes, i know this cause i had it done.... LADIES and GENTS its awesome.
Depending on how hairy you are and the area will have an effect. Because its not just one treatment its a 3 treatment process (or more depending on hairiness), and best if in the winter when you wont be tanning or out in the sun.
The thing is with laser removal is that YOU CANNOT SHAVE that area which is being treated. When you have your first treatment, all the hair that is shown will be removed and it may grow back but when you scrub yourself in the shower it should fall out. After your last treatment your hair shouldnt grow back.
Just to give you an idea, each armpit is about 3 min a piece each sesson. Unibrow area 1 min each session.
Im getting my arms done next and they will be about 15 min each arm each session.
Ask about packages, i got 125 min for a grand. Which isnt a bad price because the minutes never expire. Its painless and it pays up in the long run. Razors and shaving gel are getting costly:P
I also let my dad use it because he gets these hairs above his shaving area on his face, he is older now about 56 ...lol so he was like it comes with old age. But hell he went and got it done so he doesnt have to pluck or mama wax it out.
But seriously i think its way worth it... no more plucking or pain, shaving and cutting myself, waxing and razor bumps, breaking out because of skin irritation, or razor burn
