My quads and glutes are still sore from doing weighted lunges on Saturday... is it ok to do sumo deadlifts today?

For a little more background, I'm doing a 3 day split full body workout. Weights on Monday, Wednesday and Friday then Cardio on Tuesday/Thursday. Off from the gym on the weekend although we may hike sometimes or play tennis or whatever.

Anyway, this has only recently become a problem as I've moved up in weights and started to be pretty consistant with going to the gym.

If I were to rate the soreness on a scale from 1 to 10, 1 being least sore and 10 being the most sore, I'd say I'm at about a 4.

Thoughts?

I'd work out - no reason to kill yourself though - maybe go a bit lighter until you get used to the higher frequency/consistency.

I had the same question recently, I dropped my weight a bit and worked out anyway. My legs actually felt better afterwards than before!

For the record, I felt fine doing my deads... I was actually felt more tired when doing my bench presses so I lightened up the weight a bit.

Anywho, thanks for the replies all.

God bless the deadlift.

Today's thought process in the gym.....

Workout calls for - Swiss ball back extensions.
Swissball being used......

Screw it, I'm deadlifting today!
