Okay everyone it’s time to start shedding the rest of this darn fat. I am getting married September 17th and the wedding is on the beach in Hilton Head SC, their will be people with cameras and I don’t want to look like this.
I have been working-out very hard for 6 months now, I have been dieting and eating right, but this fat just isn’t coming off as fast as I need it to. Don’t get me wrong, I have lost 9% of my body fat in the last 6 months, along with 30LBS, but it’s time to kick this into high gear.
I have posted before numerous times about what I am eating, what my workout is like, blah- blah- blah, that’s not what I want this post to turn into. I want to know what the lean people around here are doing to stay that way, I want to hear from people that are leaner than the picture you see here, and what I can do to get rid of about 15 more pounds before I hit the beach and get married.
Forget what I have been doing, tell me what you are doing and we will go from there.
Where in HHI are you getting married? I'm kinda from the area (long story explained elsewhere ) It's kind of funny, in the past couple days I've seen references to Hilton Head in several places after not seeing it around for a while.
go on a serious low carb diet. This will really start burning that fat. Low carb isnt very good for working out and gaining muscle but for fat loss its great. Thats how I lost 30lbs.
post a rough example of what you eat everyday. This will help discover the problem.
I recommend an HIIT session every other day outside in the Ohio humidity. That ought to help you in conjunction with your dietary adjustments. I leave for HHI on Sunday. Family has had a place there since before the bridge from the mainland was built. Long story. Best of luck, and congratulations!

Low-carb is good idea but it may initially affect how you perform during workouts. RRD 2.0 is a good program to maintain and even gain some strength while dieting. That plus the HIIT may get things moving again.
Check out Turbulence Training for Fat Loss. i know a lot of people have used it and have had great results. You can check out their logs to see how they're doing and ask them questions. Keep your diet in tact, but lower the amount of calories you eat gradually. don't try to drop insane amounts of weight in a short time. 1-2 pounds a week is a healthy amount. increase the intensity of your HIIT or cardio and definitely check out TT.

go low carb besided pre and post workout and circuit train like a motherfucker. The good news is you have 3 months and 5lbs a month can easily be done. Increase whatever cardio you may be doing. If that means running in the morning and again in the evening than do it. Its your day right?
Full body workouts 3 times a week and incorporate circuit training with mainly compound lifts. And run after your workouts.
I think it is easier to lose weight than put on muscle, but I never seem to be able to eat enought anyway.
Fitness is a science, especially when you have important goals to meet as your own...here is something very key to know...the fat burning zone during exercise is 65% intensity. Anything higher, and then you are training for endurance and other goals...you need to find out your heart rate and use the karvonen formula to figure out what your heart should be during cardio...this might mean that you will be going significantly slower then you are now on whatever it is you exercise on...if you follow what i just said reply, and ill give you the formula.
I know what your talking about, when I first started training people said I was doing way to much cardio, although most of was done at 65% as your saying....
Anyway, send me whatever you got, everything helps!
Thanks everyone!

that is a very oldschool form of thinking and is not very effective.
Yovwmon. Hiit will cause the biggest boost in your matabolism which will cause fast weight loss. do hiit for 20 minutes once a day for a while, then you can even do 2 hiit session per day like 4 times a week. also something to remember is that low reps and heavy weight training will have a simular effect on your resting metabolic level. do some heavy weight training along with hiit. that along with a good diet is your best bet.

One more question that may be really off hte wall, are you diabetic or for some reason take any type of shots on a regular basis?
I know its a slim chance, my dad is diabetic and he takes insulin shots to his stomach and even at his most FIT times he STILL has a pouch (similar to yours) that he cant get rid of. Doctors told him that its common with diabetics or those that take shots to that area to develop a pouch that they can't really use, its kinda the body's way of protecting/getting used to the pinches.
That is a good question but the answer is no, Thank god I am not... That is one of the reasons that I started this whole push to get into shape. So far this year I have lost nearly 30LBS of fat, what you see in the picture is the left-overs... I know it's a bitch to get rid of the last couple lbs, I just wanted to get everyones take on what they would do. I have a trainer that I am working with now, and he thinks that I may not be eating enough... I will keep everyone posted, and I will try and get another picture up soon, I have lost about 3 more pounds.

Here's a new pic, I can't believe how fat I look in these pictures, when I look in the mirror it's not near this bad, I have to find a way to crack down quick, I don't want to look like this on the beach.
