I plan on starting the HGM next month. Should I start with phase 1, or move on to phase 5 or 6? After looking through the material, i assume that the first phases are for bulking up and the middle phases for cutting. Since I am starting the program in the middle of the year, should I take this into consideration? Thanks.

Start with phase one, it sets you up for the rest of the phases. Follow it as closely as possible and you know that you're working out.

The first phase in particular is a great cutting phase. Your personal goals should be more of a considersation than the time of year.

Start with Phase 1. If you need the logs, I have them on my site. www.lax-it.ca/hgm/routines
I started last June and finished 2 weeks ago, so you can start anytime.

start with phase 1, but if you look at the south African site Phase 6 is pahse one (they are both similar 8 week cutting phases, but I tyhink 6 is hard to do right if you are just starting. I prefer the US progression

Good luck

I also have both the advanced and beginner logs for all phases. I saved them all to my hard drive at the beginning of the year... Got through phase one and stopped for some stupid reason.

I should really start to use them again.....
