on our treadmill and bowflex. Recently joined Ballys b/c it was too hard to workout with my kids.
Since Dec. I have not lost one lb. I go up 4lbs and lose it and can't get below 174. I am so frustrated. I have been going to the gym for 3 wks. I do cardio- 2-3 times per wk. I walk at 5mph pace for around 40 min or run 6mph for 20. I have been doing the following for the past 2 wks - Squats w/sm. med ball go down to a step - 3 sets of 12, squat with 8lb wts. doing bicep curl- 3sets of 12 and then step up on a step 4 high from the side w/5lb wts going up over my head and then down and up again - 3 sets of 12. Then, I do abs w/ sm med ball, arms extened above head w/ med ball, legs a little further than shoulder length apart and then you simultaneously lift arms w/ ball and legs to center and go back down - 3 sets of 12.
Then, this wk. I started your 3 day split for women weight loss. I am just getting so disgusted. I workout approx. 4 days a wk. I did the bodygem test. I don't know if, anyone has heard of it, but it measures your resting metablolic rate. It showed I burn 1720 cals per day. I do weight watchers and they have me in 20-25pt range which calculates to 1000-15000 cals per day. I don't know what else I can do. I have hypothyroidism, but it has been regulated since 1997 and all my tests show that it is in the normal range. Then the gym did the calipers on me to measure fat. My measurements came out to 21.3%. then, they had me hold this device that measures body fat and it came out to 33% and my scale at home which is supposed to measure body fat accurately measures me at 41% body fat. (i think that is totally inaccurate and just bases it off my height and weight and gender)
What do I do? I am 5'5" and weigh 174.

nat welcome. Your on the right path. Weight watchers is a great choice to start out. Just follow what they have planned out for u. And attend their meetings they are helpful. Plus utilize their support group. Just be patient. Things will all come together in time. The calibers that the gym use did they use 3 sites or 7 that may make a diffrence. But I would still trust the calibers more the any other electronic devieces.

As far as work-out goes I think your fine on the cardio part.

I would just do weights 3x a week w/ a full body work-outs.

I hope this helps but I got to run and get some sleep. I'll post more of the work-out and what I think you should be doing tommorow.
