JP,

being as how your a personal trainer and are exposed to all types of different people and body types. I was wondering if you could help me out. I asked this question on the menshealth forum and didn't get a whole lot of response.

on my chest.. right below my pecs which are pretty well formed, i have a small dip where my sternum is and then where my upper abs are there is a large bulge. Almost as if my uppper abs are growing and my lowers are staying the same. I am self concoius about this and was wondering if you could give me some advice on why this would be happening despite infrequient ab work up until this point.

My stats as best as I can remember from about from the first of march

Chest - 37-38 inches
waist - 30 inches
hips - 34-36 inches i think - not sure which one is supposed to be the larger one.
calves - 14"
bi's - 14.25" when flexed

height - 5'8.5
weight - 155 at beginning of march
bf - 7-10% approximately used through a web calculator

thanks

mike

Yeah, the photo would help. I think I may know what you are talking about, but I may be off. Having trouble visualizing this one.

Here's a couple pics,

I drew a couple of crude circles around the area where I was referring to. If you get a chance maybe you can let me know why that area seems to bulge out. Thanks for your help jp,

mike

I think that is normal. I have lost quite a bit of weight on the last 6 months and toned up quite a bit and I a similar budge and it isn't fat.
