Well, it's been a long time since I last posted, but I just had a question for everyone. I recently ended my gym membership due to my financial situation, and balancing school, work, and a social life was leaving me rather drained. I still want to maintain my health, so can anyone recommend some tips for working out without any equipment? I have a pool in my apartment which I swin in, and I also just run around the street now. I saw the prison workout routine, and I think I'll try that for a while. Thank you.

This is from Alwyn's site...I've seen it. Bodyweight exercises never seemed so difficult.

Also - Bodyweight Training (using your body as a barbell) Watch Alwyn Bring a 400lb squatter to his knees using only bodyweight exercises.

Here are just some of the many topics we covered that day— all of it is clearly captured on the DVD:

• A bodyweight lunge variation that will make even 400-pound squatters beg for mercy (it actually happened at the Bootcamp!)

• Alwyns “marching assessment:” unlike anything you've ever seen, this proprietary test pinpoints with laser accuracy your functional weaknesses...More details on the DVD.

• Why your FMS score will determine your chance of becoming injured in the gym. Do you know yours?

• How to add muscle size with bodyweight calisthenics.

• Why you haven’t earned the ‘right” to squat until you can handle your own bodyweight.

• The stability pushup - can you even do one?

Now AVAILABLE on DVD-R format !

Some good suggestions so far. I would also like to point out that the "Home Workout Bible" has a major section on whole workouts with no equipment or using ordinary items found around the house. You can do a lot with a kitchen chair and two cans of soup, for instance.

Here's an old article I wrote on the subject years ago:
