My brother (whom most of you have already heard about) when to the high school where he is going next year, and worked with one of the football coaches. The coach taught him some lifts, and had him deadlifts (with very strict form).
My only concern is that the coach had him doing low reps (5, actually), with high weight (he's 145 lbs, deadlifting 195). Anything I've read that dismissed claims about lifting stunting growth also mentioned that low rep, high weight lifts should be avoided at his age (14 years old).
Any thoughts? Comments? Ideas or concerns?
