Well, they are finally updating the MH Fitness forum and it may be my demise.

I sent the info for a password reset and the damned reset info came back in my spam folder and got dumped. I tried doing it again but it tells me an e-mail has already been sent to that person.

Does anyone have a contact over there that I can write to (the mods that I know don't publish their e-mail addresses in their profiles). Thanks for any help, guys.

You could create a hotmail address and re-register---I would guess that would work.

Fish,
You know me too well to know I am not a quitter. MH forums have seen better times, but if I desert, I am the loser.

BTW, I can't register under another e-mail. Tried that and it tells me that the screen name (mahler) was already issued a password reset. Thanks.

I opened up the fitness forum page. I attempted to post and it took me directly to the login page where I eneterd my screen name. Then hit lost password. Then enter e-mail address then continue. It sends an e-mail to you, supposedly with instructions on logging on to the new forums.

Aren't you a little old to be falling for that pop-psychology/propaganda BS? I mean, I'm as sentimental as the next guy, but seriously: What are you getting out of it.

I've known you as a result of that board for better than three years, and at least 65% of that time we've spent bitching about how bad it is. Reminds me of that Woddy Allen joke from Annie Hall:
"The food in this place is really terrible. Yes, and such small portions. That's essentially how I feel about life"...or in this case, the MH Boards.

I noticed nothing different. I got the same thing as always. Same as Ray.

Hmmm...I think that you got preferential treatment! I didn't get any of that...just the standard 'here's your temp password' No instructions, nothing out of the ordinary. Plus, the only person posting right now is FSUsem1nole, laughing about who he's the only one that can post (kinda funny, actually!)

Nothing sentimental at all. To be quite frank, I get more response to the MMMM over there than I do here. And, some of those guys are in a little more need of motivation. Over here, the guys are, for the most part, pumped and have a good knowledge base which they freely share.

And, if I can bring a little ray of fitness into their hum-drum lives, then I know my efforts ain't been in vain fer nothin'. LOL

Mahler's looking a legacy for his remaining few decades. He'll be known for bringing solid fitness knowledge and inspiration to the metrosexual masses. It surely will take every minute of those remain decades for his input to influence those masses to any significant degree.

"Remaining FEW decades?"
I sincerely hope 5 decades is not a few.

LOL

Legacy?
What legacy?

All the MMMM's will be lost with the new forum, I am sure.

I just like to hang around as either a "voice of reason" or a "thorn in the side" even if the metro's are unable to be influenced.

Wow! If you're looking to inspire people, head over to the MF forums! They're sorely in need over there. It's like all the grownups have left...
