If you lack explosion in the second pull then drills from the hang or off blocks would be the way to go. Its also less draining than the full lift.
Seriously, this book was not made to condition o-lifters so it doesnt really matter which one you pick. If you lack hip explosion, dont know how to do a second pull, form breaks down beforehand, etc. then the hang would be a good idea. If you can do them from the floor then do it, your gains arent going to shrivel away and the entire 12 wks or so of this routine will not be in vain if you change this one exercise.
