Hi

Recently I have started doing some simple weight training at home, all I have is some dumbbells and a barbell. I basically want to exercise and tone my upper body. Can anyone suggest some simple exercise or a possible training regime that I could do from home. I am on no particular diet, I just want to get my body used to doing exercise in my upper half and then progress from there.

Thanks

Hey SM. I'm definitely not one to hand advice...since I'm a novice compared to a lot of these guys on line. But if you really want tone, your gonna have to consider diet. The more I learn...the more I think about my diet.

someone will correct me if I'm off base.

You're dead on, Jimbo. Exercise is important (obviously) but to start seeing your muscles pop through with any definition (esp. abs) you HAVE to eat right.

But don't worry. It's not nearly as bad as you might imagine. Atkins isn't necessary.

Take a look at these:
