I am 46 years old and fairly good shape. I am looking for a good routine for over all fitness. I was thinking of a Push/Pull/Legs with 15-20 minute HIT Cardio on lifting days and 40 minute steady cardio on nonlifting days. I have also thought about a3 day total body workout with cardio every other day. Give me your thoughts and any sample routines.
well, if you want to do that 3 day total body workout you can checkout out homegrown muscle phase one, which is a three day total body circut routine, do HIIT with it if you dare, probably not necessary though. check out the workout here
Turbulence Training is excellent for overall fitness with the potential for some muscle growth...Also, I am currently doing Core Performance (I've tweaked it for my own goals) and I am really enjoying the variety of exercises. Good luck.
