I've been working out my abs for quite a while and i was wondering if anybody knows what abdominal excersizes I need to do to get that muscle tone line down the middle of my stomache. Thanks everyone!

Low body fat. That line isn't 'tone'. It comes from having low body fat. Best way to get that line is to clean up your diet as much as possible. How? You tell us. What are your stats? Height, weight, and activity level. From that you should be able to figure out what an appropriate diet is to drop body fat.

It is also possible that you just don't have enough abdominal muscle to have that line. In that case, weighted ab exercises would help add muscle. Also, if you just don't have enough muscle for that line to show, you may actually need to start by eating more food than you are now.

Either way, giving your stats will help answer this question.

Actually its a combination of both diet AND really buff, muscular abs. Genetics don't hurt either. Even when I was 20% bodyfat I could still see my line because my abs are just bigger. Thanks mom and dad!

Do heavy resistance on your abs and watch what you eat, and eventually they will "pop" out.

Note to self:

Do not read threads authored by Barbi asking about her abs.

Oh yeah, what JP said.

Note to olderguy... Are you kidding???? I'm thinking about requiring her to post photos with all of posts!

Barbi, there are some pretty brutal routines you can do to your abs to bring out the shape. Sounds like your bodyfat is pretty low to start with, so it may not be as hard for you. What I DON'T recommend is one of those "abs" classes where you do hundreds of reps. You even notice how NONE of those people have abs?

Well, maybe if Barbi includes other "measurements" I'll have to reconsider, JP. Although I do like the photo idea. Would this be the right forum for that?

I may have to create a special sub forum just for her!
