As the title says, I start the BOM Beginner program tomorrow and am looking forward to it. I will post my results on here as I go for those who want to see what it can do. I measure my muscles tonight (hopefully correctly). Even though they will probably shame me, my measurements are listed below.

For anyone else who has already done BOM Beginner, how did you like it? What kind of gains did you see? Let me know, thanks.

Muscle Measurements 9/12/04 (all flexed):
right bicep - 16.25" right forearm - 13.25"
left bicep - 15.75" left forearm - 13"
right calf - 16.5" right thigh - 25"
left calf - 16.25" left thigh - 24.5"
chest - 44"

As you can see, my left side is just a little behind my right, so I will hopefully correct that. Wish me luck, thanks.

Did first workout tonight and man, all I can say is HOLY SHIT! I never thought 1 set of each of these exercises would get me so sore. It seemed that the static lunges early on were what started it all off. All in all, I liked the workout and am looking forward to some big gains from this program. My muscles were sore and shaking, could barely walk up the stairs to the shower. I like that feeling of the "good" pain a good session can give. I will post updates after every stage.

" like that feeling of the "good" pain a good session can give."

Come back and tell us how good it is tomorrow, or better yet, the next day!

Good luck with it, hope you get the results you want .

Still doing alright, legs are the most sore, wasn't really expecting that from this workout, but feels good just the same. After this week, I hope my body gets used to it again. We shall see.

Well, another fun day at the gym. I could really feel what muscles each of those exercises was working. I can't wait to see what kind of gains I get with this program.

I did have a couple of ?'s though. The only part of my body that doesn't feel like it was worked is my chest. I feel it everywhere else, but my chest just isn't sore. Any idea's why? Thanks for any help.

Dont feel it as in they're not sore, or couldn't feel them working much doing the exercises?

Try focusing on them as you do the bench press and dips. Actually conciously fire them during the lifting. Also try leaning fowared a little bit on the dips to activate the chest a bit more as well as the triceps.

A litte of both actually. They are not sore today and, for example, I don't really feel them being used during my db bench press or other exercises that use them. I will make a concious effort to work them more next time around and see if that works.

When I first started BoM Beginner, I thought, "This doesn't look so tough." And so I kind of went "balls to the wall" with my intensity. The small resting intervals combined with my high intensity and crappy cardiovascular health at the time totally kicked my butt. I got home and promptly puked all over my front door step. That definitely helped. I feel more in my chest now during and after the workout, so I am happy about that. I wanted to do 2 circuits today, but was only able to do 1 :-(
Also, my night was fun. Went to Vitamin World to get some things. Bought some Flaxseed oil. Went to another store and dropped the bag, breaking the bottle. I was so embarassed. Cleaned up after myself and left as soon as I could. Such is life I suppose.
