Default 2-handed rower vs single-handed

I know the Concept II is considered the standard for most people. I'm curious though what the thoughts are on a Concept type rower (one with a single bar with the chain mounted in the middle) versus a rower with a handle/bar on either side (similar to an old-fashion row boat).

I have no goals of rowing competitively. I'm looking for a good cardio workout. My favorite that I've ever done was kayaking in the ocean.

I'm actively watching craigslist, and would hate to pass up a style (1 handle vs 2 handle) if they are both comparable.

I picked up a used C2 on Craig's List. Other rowers that I have tried just don't compare, in my opinion. The C2 is smooth and lasts forever....way more important than how many handles. I'd say to hold out for a C2.
