Default Post Exercise / Recovery drink - Chocolate Milk?

I heard twice from two different people that Chocolate milk is a very good post exercise drink and thought they were kidding...then I looked it up on Google search and actually found a number of articles on that fact.

Quote:
Physiologist Joel Stager, director of the Human Performance laboratory at Indiana University, has even one more potential workout recovery drink to add to the list: chocolate milk. His latest study, published in this month's International Journal of Sport Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism, names this kids' favorite an optimal post-exercise recovery aid.
Seems this applies to endurance workouts, would this be even better with some protein added?

The Choco milk rules. I used it for a year or so. Don't know if I saw anything better happen, but I got to drink a lot of chocolate milk and saw no negative side effects!

I usually eat a protein-laden meal and some milk after a workout.

Chocolate milk just helps you to get some glycogen back in ya. Common sense.

Dara Torres claims to drink chocolate milk after workouts and she holds several world records. If it's good enough for her...

I can top that! I used to drink chocolate milk and I became rich and famous. After I stopped drinking chocolate all my money and fame evaporated. Coincidence? I think not!
