So i'm trying to find myself a good program, 4 days a week, for the next 12 weeks. I was looking through the fitness faq's workout list and noticed there's a couple by ian king that are set up in 3 week phases with 12 weeks total. Coincidently, I have 12 weeks between now and when I leave for Ireland for a few weeks, so I'd like to fit a program in there that will last to my break, and then start something new afterwards.

I'm definitely going ot be doing the abs program listed. At first I was just going to build my own routine on top of that using mostly compound exercises, but then I noticed the links for the limping program and the chest/back program. My question is this:

Would it be a bad idea to do all 3? One thought was to do 4 days a week, with an upper and lower body day using the corresponding workouts. The ab workout is set up for 4 days a week so I figured I would just tack it on at the end of the upper or lower body day.

Is this realistic or should I look into something different (any suggestions what, if so)? I've completed the intermediate book of muscle in the past and liked the results I saw, so I'm tempted to follow these Ian King workouts and see what happens.

I'd appreciate any thoughts from the experts out there!

I think doing all 3 would kill you. I've heard of people doing two at once, but all 3 would be a hell of a lot of work. They're designed to be the main part of the workout, with some extra work done to maintain other areas. Doing all 3 would probably be about twice the amount of work Ian planned for you to do.

What kind of results are you after? Have you considered some of the Joel Marion 12 week programs? Things like training for maximum size and strength?

Honestly I'm just looking for a solid program that will cover the whole body. I don't want to do just an upper body program and ignore the legs. While I could add my own leg exercises and do the chest program + abs, I would prefer to do something made by the pros if possible.

I'm not familiar with any Joel Marion programs, I'll have to see if I can find some.

I am doing John Berardi's "The Greatest Workout Ever." It is a 12 week program with 4 workouts per week. Be glad to send it to you.

Does that offer extend to other members?

I looked in the bookstores for the magazine that contained it (Men's Health Muscle, right?) but couldn't find it.

Thanks
