2 questions if I may

1) When doing GMs, how do you tell if the next day you're sore because you worked the muscles or because you form is bad and you strained something?

2) When doing HIIT after a strength workout, when do you take the PWO? DO you wait the 15 minutes until the HIIT is done, or drink first then run?

1) A strain is a much more local specific stinging sharp pain where as if you are sore from doing GM's its going to be more of a general aching and stiffness in a muscle group. (strains hurt way worse)

2) Take the PWO shake directly after resistence training always. Try to do your HIIT 6-8 hours after resistance training. If that isn't an option, do HIIT after your upper body days.

Also depending on your condition, muscle soreness generally takes 1-5 days to recover from with no change in activity. Muscle strains generally take 1-2 weeks to recover from starting with 48 hours of complete rest then on to active recovery.

If you are doing your HIIT immediately after your workout, then take your post workout shake after the HIIT. If you drink the shake then run intensly, that shake won't be in your stomach very long before you see it again. If you have the time to do so, then do what Rev recommended.

Sorry, but this topic is incomprehensible to me. I am too wiped after my workout to even consider HIIT. I'm getting that feeling in my stomach Jason referred to just thinking about it.
