Hey all,

I have started using the book of muscle workouts (beginner - mostly due to a lot of it starting out w/ dumbell work, less strain on my shoulder problem plus just trying to get a good start all over again), and I had a question about using HIIT. I have been doing HIIT, about 20 minute intervals, plus a five minute warmup and cooldown. My legs have been feeling pretty good, although slightly tired. Should I do my HIIT on a different day or the same day as my lifting?

Thanks,
Travis

I would do different, especially if it's a day that includes lower body.

Or at a different time of the day. I do HIIT early morning. When I get home from work I do my lifting sessions.

Ok, that is what I thought. I do my lifting at home, where I have a power rack and about 600 lbs of weights, and I go to the Y to do my cardio, so doing both on the same day would be difficult.

I'd prefer to lift at home b/c then I don't have to wait for anyone to be done.
