Default PT in LA Recommendation?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good personal trainer in Los Angeles (mid-city, West Hollywood or downtown area)?

I'm having trouble finding a good, qualified PT (vs. actor/model/trainer) who can help me finetune my squat, deadlift and pull up techniques in addition to helping me break a plateau (I've been training for about 8 years now).

Thanks!

Drive out to the beach and work with Kuri.

That's all I've got.

Lisa: Great suggestion: I talked to Kuri but with my work schedule and LA traffic, I need to find someone closer

there are PT's at the spectrum club and there are spectrum clubs all over. Check out http://www.spectrumclubs.com/Club/Scripts/Home/home.asp and find a location near you. The spectrum club is a gym with weights, treadmills, cardio machines, pools, lockers, spa, basketball gym, classes, resturunt (breakfast, lunch, dinner), Personal trainers, personal trainers in peak hours that wear green shirts that help you with form on exercises and such (free for that part). you can also go in and out without having to wait for a machine or a cardio machine at anytime. theres a lot to do there.

Thats the only good gym I know of and its also not cheap (104 per month) because its clean and everything is good quality there unlike 24 hour fitness and other gyms. I workout there, but I don't see a PT though because there are ones in peak hours that help out for free if needed and I do my own workout. 24 hour fitness personal trainers I heard are not that great. Also when you join the spectrum club, automatically you get a free 1 hour session with a PT for joining and they will go through your program and everything with you and give you different tips, help with form, etc.

This is something to look into, so that you can also lift weights at anytime other than just going to see a personal trainer and then leave.

I'm sure Chris could recommend a CrossFit gym near you.

Haha, yeah coupla people I know volunteer at one (i.e. they don't pay the trainers). They can fuck up your DL or power clean in no time!

Anyway, PM me again. A friend on the Westside may be available, but I'm not sure how far he'll drive to train, but you can ask.
