Ive been reading and lurking for about a week. My name is Ken and I am 25 from the Boston area. I came here from the MH boards. I used to post alot there 2 years back but then life happened and I stopped.

Im not a new lifter. As of right now I am 5'8 and have worked my way up to 200lbs. I gained more fat than Im used to so I am actually starting cardio tommorow. I lift 1 day then do cardio the next. Thats my plan. I love lifting but hate cardio.

I remeber alot of the names from the MH boards and look forward to reading and learning. I also hope to contribute a little of what Ive learned too. A HUGE thank you in advance and for what Ive already read.

Turbulence Training from Craig Ballantyne is a favorite here for those looking to cut fat. You might want to check out the logs in the Training section from Zhuangsi and Cappuccino to see there progress with it, as well as Craig's TT site, http://www.turbulencetraining.com/ Craig is a respected trainer up in Toronto and writes for MF. His site is www.cbathletics.com

I neither use the program nor am paid to hock it. But everyone raves about it, so....

I am having good results with Lou Schuler's The Book of Muscle.

Well first of all I'd like to welcome you to the boards. I'd like to say that we're wicked happy to have you here and hope you achieve your fitness goals.

I'd like to say that I as well am about 5'8" or 5'9" depending on the day, and I was making my way up to that point (185 my highest). Since you hate cardio, and I'm assuming you want to burn off that extra fat might I suggest HIIT for getting your cardio done faster and it's a great way to burn fat. Also how strict are you with your diet?

Anyway, glad to have you around and hope to see you posting.

Hey k-dawg, this is the best forum ever. You'll learn extreme amounts of useful knowledge. Craig's Turbulence Training is kick ass, you can look at Cappucino's pics on her training log for that. Also Joel Marion's Ripped, Rugged, and Dense 2.0 program is kick ass when added with HIIT and you can look at my pics for that on my training log to see end results. When it comes down to it routine and diet are merely the tools, sheer extreme discipline are the hands that hold the tools. Good luck brotha.
