Default Do Less Make More Progress

After ending up injured in time I've sure learned about the importance of backing off when needed. Needless to say all of my clients have planned deload weeks.

So to all whom this may apply read on.

Get Bigger By Doing Less.

That dude in the videos really needs to learn how to do kettlebells though...

Nice one.

I can tell you that I've done better with more breaks or deloads. I train a lot less than I used to.

I do schedule backoff weeks, but since they seem to come on their own because of work, trips, kids, etc., it seems I almost never have to take the calendarized breaks.

I'm actually staying leaner than ever doing far less activity than before. G-Flux works both ways. Workout less, eat less, and stay/get lean.

Deload weeks have definitely been a boon for me, and I'm glad they're built into my current program. When I lift heavy for a long period of time, my joints start wearing out and I get aches and pains in my wrists, elbows, shoulders, and (occasionally) knees. This affects my ability to lift heavy weights, which makes me weaker than I would otherwise be.
