I was wondering If it was enough to just have my pre workout shake (15g whey protein, 45g carbs "gatorade powder") is enough, or do I have to eat a meal.

I am doing turbulence training for fat loss and will be lifting weights and doing HIIT. Also I am following Adam's Diet if that matters.

So basically is the PreWO shake enough like 15 min before my workout

thanks,
kevin

maybe give it a little more time. 30-60 mins before. But yes, it is enough.

I have herd from one of the Douple Tap programs over at T-Nation (http://www.t-nation.com) that your central nervous system isnt going to give you the full potential it has in the morning as opposed to working out a few hours after being awake. I cant remember who said it but I want to say Christian Thibaudeau.

Does anyone else have any information on this subject?

P.S. Sorry to hi-jack the thread but I think it would be benefictial for you to know as well as everyone else.

If you can squeeze in a little something RIGHT when you wake up, then the pre-workout drink 10-15 before, that would probably be ideal. I sometimes have little turkey or ham or piece of cheese, just to get the metabolism going.

That being said, if working out is one of the first things I do, the pre-workout drink is often my first "food" of the day, sipped on the way to the gym.
