It was a blast guys Here's my formal thanks to JP et al.
I thought I'd share some of my pics from the weekend for the attendees and those of you who weren't able to make it. I'm sure there will be many of these threads to follow, given the number of digital cameras at the retreat. But here goes:
Breakfast at the hotel. Chad and Berardi are discussing the mechanics of muscle fiber contraction while Lou and Don punch each other in the shoulder repeatedly.

Getting things started. Mahler prepares questions for Chad while Danny makes sure his breakaway pants are ready for any potential bachelorette parties.

Mid-morning snack. Cappy reveals her kitchen creations to a group of ravenous guys who had gone a full 2 1/2 hours without food. Notice the heart-shaped eggs.
Shortly after this picture was taken Berardi jumped up on the table to commandeer the food, threatening anyone who came close with a plastic fork and exposed teeth.

Chad teaches Danny some dance moves to further impress the ladies. Got candy in my heels tonight baby. Gabe in the background also getting his groove on.

Chad and Berardi demonstrating exercises as the rest of us feel depressed about how scrawny we are.

I hadn't realized that Chad has such a "badass" look going on. Meanwhile, Lou sports the "Patience, young padewan" look.

Lou, Kaiser, Mahler, Nick, and Chera plot to take over the world at dinner as JP remains aloof as usual.

Fun pics.
Can you describe (seriously!) what is going on in the "dance moves" pic? Some type of assessment, I assume. What were you guys supposed to be able to do, and what was the purpose/assessment?

Late Saturday night Chad and Danny decide that the occasional burger ain't all that bad, when suddenly Berardi darts from the shadows, knocking the suspect food to the ground.

It was Chad's variation of a one-leg squat. Bend down, touch your knee, and raise back up. Nearly impossible, but the D-train powered his way back up.

Once I got below parallel with my thigh, things began to break down. Then got stuck at the bottom. Felt like my hammies and glutes just didn't have it to get me back up.
That will make it's way into some tkd class warmups, but not until I get it. Gotta keep those young bucks humble.

CW has some mean lush going on... looks like a fun time.
I am not sure what that cake looking thing is in the food picture but I am pretty sure I want to eat the whole thing just for the heck of it.

World takeover?
I like that.
A joint dictatorship by Othmar, Prince of Latvia and the Iron Manual Lord of Destruction.
What could be better?
Great pics.
(And, guys, Johnka is incredible.)
If I'm not mistaken, it was also a flexibility assessment, wasn't it Johnka?? There was something about being able to keep your thigh perfectly perpendicular to the floor throughout the entire move.

I remember something about flexibility, but I was hypnotized by Danny's bi-color socks.

Thanks for the pics Johnka, it's just good to put some faces to names. My particular favourite is the burger pic! I'm just looking forward now to seeing the ones that the other guys are going to post up.
