Davidr- welcome aboard. First, off what is "a while doing weights"? Is that 3months, 1 year, 2years ect. And how old are you what is you calorie intake? In other words we needmore sats in order to help u out.
Personally, I hate training 1body part a week. I usually train my clients 3x a week w/ a full-body training system.

I'm going to do my best to reply. I'm taking my personal trainer exam this thursday so I'm no expert like some of the people on this board.
Are you adding weight? From my understanding once your body adapts to the amount of weight you lift, it doesn't change until you overload it. How many sets are you doing? Are you changing your workouts? What do the 2000 calories consist of?
How am I doing here experts?
I DO 6-7 REPS AND I NORMALLY DO UP TO 9 SETS ON EACH MUSCLE!I AM FOLLOWING A DIET THAT I GOT OF A BOOK BY ARNOLD SCHWARZENEEGER SO I GUESS IT MUST BE OK!MOST OF IT IS PROTEIN,CALCIUM AND STUFF!I HAVE BEEN ON THIS DIET FOR 3 MONTHS IT SEEMS TO BE DOING GOOD AS MY BODY IS LOSING FAT EACH WEEK(MORE THAN USUAL)!I ALWAYS OVER LOAD EACH WEEK I MAKE SURE THAT I AM STRUGGLING TO GET THE FULL 6 OUT I HARDLY EVER LOWER IT!AT PRESENT I AM LIFTING 85KG ON BENCH PRESS!

I don't think there's any harm training the muscle groups twice a week. I don't think you need to devout a whole work out to biceps and triceps. Those are work with other body exercises and probably can be added on at the end of say, your chest day. Try doing that. If you're losing fat, it must mean your body's metabolism is getting faster. Are you doing cardio too?
no actually i am not doing much cardio but i was thinking of starting doing a little!i go for joggs now and then but nothing much really!i was wondering would hitting the heavy bag be a good idea??as i have one and could set it up again??as i find running and stuff pritty boring!???

davidr- 7 months is not a long time. You, may want to change your workouts to 3x a week instead 5-6x a week your still a begginer so you should be growing.

Agreed. This is a case where less is more.
