Flat you idiot! What are you some kind of rookie or something?

Oh, I mean, Flat for me.

And lay off my shoes, I love my new Nike Frees.

Fish,

It's the same curve you have when you stand tall which in many cases would be neutral. Flat would result in a loss of the lumbar curve...not a good thing.

That was my initial inclination, and then I saw one of those "professional lifting videos" and the guy was stressing (no pun intended) flat back. It didn't seem right, so I came to ask the experts...and rookie .

BTW--I am soooooo glad you made it over here, brother. How are you?

I think in some cases when they teach you to squat with a flat back, it's relative to a rounded back, or maybe a hyper-extended back. Hence your choices were flat or rounded/hyper-extended. Rather than flat or neutral.
