I'm going to build one soon as an extension to my power rack.

In the meantime I've been putting my bench on a small incline, laying face down on the bench with my legs hanging off the top of the bench, and wrapping a couple small jumpstretch bands around the base of the bench and the back of my legs. I have no idea how what I'm doing compares to a real reverse hyper, though I'd imagine the force curve is similiar.

I made a little picture, but I can't figure out how to upload it.

The Reverse Hyper is an awesome machine. I recently made myself a homemade one. Below are 2 links to forum threads on the Fortified Iron board that has pics and instructions to make your own.
Thread 1

Thread 2

I made mine pretty the way outlined in the 2 above threads. Working with it is great. I just using 80lb on mine but a set of 10-20 will totally relieve any tightness of the lower back and get the blood pumping. I've been doing a set in the morning and one in the evening to just boost my recovery and lower back health. It has made a marked recovery difference using it on the days following the intense lower body workout I did last Sat. I really recommend making or buying one, your lower back will thank you.

Love that gym....most places have swiss balls lying around ....these guys have STONES lying around !!! Gotta love that!

We use our glute-ham benches and just turn around and place our hips on the thigh padding. High enough to get full ROM.....we put a DB or MB between the ankles.

Sweet! DKing and I were just talking about how to build one of those the other night. I'm building a workout "shed" and my buddy is going to weld me a power rack, so I'm going to try to get him to build me as much equipment as possible while he has his welder at my house.

Thanks, jreimann.
