Is it bad to swim right after lifting weights? Someone told me that it increases the chance of injury and that it will mess up your swim stroke, while another person told me that it is totally fine, so now I'm confused, hoping you guys can set me straight =)

Thanks!

Slow swimming after lifting (for god's sake shower first) would probably enhance recovery. If your a competitive swimmer I don't think it would be of great value to swim hard after a tiring weight workout. If you want to go all out in the pool, do it at a seperate time than after/before lifting.

I swam competitively for years as a kid and then more recently in masters swimming. We were always taught to lift on off days. I know that if I lifted hard before swimming my muscles would stil be tight and it would put off my stroke.
