Frankly, I never heard of him. Where can I find some of his material?

Bompa is a name in periodization training. A couple of his books:

Periodization: Theory and Methodology of Training

Periodization Training for Sports

I can't personally attest to his methods having not read his work, but I seem to remember some of the T-Nation gurus citing him.

his books are readily available at Amazon. I bought my copy at Chapters here in Canada, so I would imagine any major bookstore would carry it.

Tudor Bompa is a brilliant man who can be considered the daddy of periodization so-to-speak. His books are solid although many of his programs are questionable but that is not uncommon with many sport-scientists these days. Often just a lack of 'hands-on' application and experience.
