Good Morning, Guys

This morning I am sure that all our thoughts and prayers are with those who are in the path of Katrina. I did my workout this morning watching the news and am fearful for the thousands that are in jeopardy. Any of you out there in the path, who are able, please keep us all informed and let us know that you are safe.

With the many thoughts turned toward Katrina and her path, I thought I might call on someone who knew intimately about people, and about giving one’s life to help people. Her view of how we treat and are treated by people is a real inspiration.

People are often unreasonable and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you.
Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough.
Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them . . . anyway.
Mother Teresa

Enough said. Stay safe my friends.

Thanks John... I am compelled to add the following, I hope you don't mind:
"How utterly we have forsaken the Earth, in the sense of excluding it from our thoughts. There are but few who consider its physical hugeness, its rough enormity. It is still a disparate monstrosity, full of solitudes and barrens and wilds. It still dwarfs and terrifies and crushes. The rivers still roar, the mountains still crash, the winds still shatter. Man... somehow... has managed to shut out the face of the giant from his windows. But the giant is there, nevertheless..."
--- Wallace Stevens, "Eye to Eye With Hurricanes", 1994
Important as well to respect the forces that govern our existence. Thanks.
