I'm trying to develop a good work out routine for a woman who is in pretty good shape, she just wants to tone everything up a little bit... I would like her to do a full body work out.....broken up into like 4 or 5 days by body parts....If anyone had some time and had some ideas....let me know. Thanks.

have her do 3 excercises for each body part, 1 body part a day. remember, legs counts as 1 body part. biceps and triceps are also each a body part. I suppose you could lump chest and back with them.

2 sets of 20 reps each to really "tone and firm".

Are you suggesting a 5 day split with 3 exercises each day: Chest, back, biceps, triceps, and legs? With the option to combine chest and triceps, and back and biceps if necessary. I myself think that legs are more important than biceps and deserve more attention, not less(biceps will be worked by most back exercises too). 6 sets seems a bit light for weekly leg volume.

Why do you want her to do a body part split over an upper/lower split, or a push/pull/legs split? What do you mean by pretty good shape? Does she have much history lifting weights, or is her "pretty good shape" from sports, cardio, aerobics class. For the most part a good routine for a man is a good routine for a woman. By tone, do you mean that she needs to loose fat, or gain muscle, or both? Either way a consistent workout and disiplined diet can provide both.

Buk... i hope you realize i was being completely facitious.

2 or 3 full body workouts a week will do much more for this woman than 5 workout days of body part split style training.

That is what I was hoping, but with a new user, I am not sure how he would have known; there isn't even a hint of sarcasm for someone with less experience.
