Default Renewed My Credentials

I tested my 1RM in deadlift this morning.

Back in 2007 I pulled 405, but have not done it since.
After Maximum Strength, my best lift was 375. While I had improved in other lifts, my deads had gone down.

This morning, I pulled 405 for the first time in almost two years. It went up easily. I went for 425, got it off the floor, but just couldn't quite manage it.

But, the way I figure, at least I have renewed my credentials in Deadlifts and in the 1,000 Pound Club with a total of 1,010 for my three lifts.

Very cool.

I realize it's a sample of one, but your experience certainly supports the idea that volume training can increase 1rm.

So did you try to bounce a quarter off your glutes when you were done?
