Smile Routine for a 21 y/o female

Hi, I am new to this forum so I hope this is the correct place to post. I was wondering if anyone would like to help me put together a routine?

I am a 21 y/o female, 5’6”, 118ish lbs (although haven’t stepped on a scale in awhile), and 18% bodyfat (just had this measured). My goal is to lean out. I am pretty thin but I have put on some weight recently. Over the summer I was weighing in at about 110 and I felt much better about myself at that weight. I have kind of been over eating (going through a stressful time) and I am committed to fixing my diet, but I want to supplement with a great workout routine. I pretty much look about average right now, but I am not satisfied with average. My goal is to have a really great body.

I am looking to workout about 5 days a week. I would like to do cardio and strength training. I don’t know if I should be doing Steady state cardio or HIIT or a mixture or what. And in the weight room I’m clueless!

Thanks in advance for any help/advice!

I would suggest reading The New Rules of Lifting for Women. This program takes you through 6 months of programming.

You should pick up The New Rules of Lifting for Women. There's a whole forum for it here, and tons of support. I'll bet over a hundred women from the forum have it. It's got all you're asking for.

Ya. The book will help you add a couple of extra motivations to the ones you already have, which will leave you smiling silly and kicking arse! What are you deciding to do? It saves an immense amount of time in the long run if you plan correctly, and if you don't have time to wait for the book, definitely spend 30 minutes going through various threads on the forum. I'd even venture to say skip a workout to do some good planning.

I think you'd find good results with the afore mentioned book. And, welcome to the forum.
