Default Any Trainer use Sports Motion Video Software?

Just wondering what video sport motion software trainers use with clients. I am reviewing a few options. Looking to spend $99-$299. Anyone have links or types that they can direct me to?

Do you mean something like Dartfish?

The clinic at my college has that. I can ask how much it cost if you like.

Yes like Dartfish...but I think that software is close to $2000. I may be wrong.

The guy who bought it should be training with me tomorrow, I'll ask him then how much it cost.

Actually they haven't even used it from what I know. I should ask to crack it open too.

Hes no longer with MDNA (in fact, MDNA no longer exists either, its called TruSeven).

Anyway, I was looking at that system and Im not exactly thrilled with it. For one thing, placing those nodes is going to be a real pain in the ass if youre going to do large volume motion analysis with teams and stuff.

Next, I dont see anything from that program that I cant do with a slow motion video. No special features that would tell me anything useful or quantify what I see. I saw the demos and again, I can do that with a nice camcorder or digital camera.

John what else are you looking into?

So far I've looked at www.sportmotion.com and Video analysis software, video motion analysis software, golf swing software, video analysis systems and software..

I am looking for something basic. Nothing too elaborate. Dartfish is crazy expensive. I want something that I can freeze and draw up on to showcase techniques to show to my golfers.

John,

For qualitative analysis, check out the free Quintic Player:

Quintic Consultancy Ltd: Quintic Software

For qualitative and quantitative analysis, you can get Innovision Systems' video-based MaxTRAQ Lite for $99 or MaxTRAQ Standard for $695.

MaxTRAQ

Here you'll find an introduction to MaxTRAQ and the Excel-based MaxMATE (for graphical and numerical analysis):

YouTube - InnovisionSystems's Channel

Let me know if you need any further information.
